Meet The Doctor

-Dr. Magualie Woollery, Chief Health Officerwoollery

As the Chief Health Officer responsible for transforming your health, smile, and life, let me be the first to welcome you to Contemporary Dentistry! My team of health advisors, health advocates, and support staff exist to help you and your family live better lives, longer!

Contemporary Dentistry is a premier health organization that people seek to help them create and sustain excellence in oral health and personal health and wellbeing.  Since 2003, we have consistently delivered on our commitment to help people live better lives, longer, by providing the very best dental care that contributes to the improvement of our patients’ total health, smiles, wellbeing, and lives.  As Dr. Woollery likes to say…

“Health is Essential to Life and Wellbeing; Therefore, Make Yours Excellent!”

You will discover that we do dentistry a bit different from what you are accustomed. How is that, you may ask? We begin every new client interaction with one common and important process of discovery: What’s important to you? Whether it is achieving fulfillment, living life on purpose, making a difference in the lives of those you touch, or something else that is uniquely you, we all have different views on what’s important. However, what we all share in common is the undeniable need for excellent health to fully experience what’s truly important…when all is said and done.

We use this knowledge to help all our clients bridge the gap between where they are now to where they want to be in life so they can enjoy the real payoff of reaching all their life goals and the emotional payoff of experiencing what’s important to them…using health as the core driver!

My practice of dentistry is grounded in the oral-systemic health (OSH) connection philosophy which holds that the health of the mouth impacts the health and wellbeing of the whole body. Advances in science now makes it undeniably clear that unhealthy mouths and bad oral hygiene could increase the chance of stroke, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, and others ailments…all detectable and preventable through routine oral health care visits.

I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1995 from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry.  I continue to expand my knowledge and skills through continuing education courses which include but not limited to smile design and the art and science of cosmetic dentistry, and certification courses in Inman Aligner and cosmetic braces system Six Month Smiles. I have trained with some of the best practitioners in the field Dr. Debra King at the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in Sandy Springs, GA. My professional memberships include the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Georgia Dental Association.

The Oral-Systemic Health (OSH) connection is the core philosophy upon which my practice of dentistry is built.  Consequently, not only am I a member of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health but so is my entire staff. Every year the office is closed for one week so we can attend the association’s annual meetings as a team to invest in learning the best practices for advancing total client health through the practice of comprehensive oral health care so we can effectively help our clients achieve excellence in health, wellbeing, and lifestyle.

Once again, Welcome! We cannot wait to meet you and your family, and relish the opportunity to learn what’s important to you and begin a partnership that drives you to reach your health, wellbeing, and lifestyle goals so you and your family live better lives, longer!
